VoIP Phone

After paying for years $40 dollars a month to have a land line most people are switching to VoIP (Voice over IP). There are many different types of VoIP available. Some are from the cable company, others are from third party vendors (such as Microsoft, Skype, and Yahoo) and others are surprising coming from the phone carriers themselves. This technology greatly enhances the experience for the consumer by delivering a higher sound quality.

One of the best VoIP providers is Skype. They have built the capability to use their standard service (Skype to Skype) for free while offering such extra features as SkypeOut (Skype to phone system) and SkypeIn (phone number to Skype) at a minimal fee. How much is a minimal fee? With all SkypeIn and Skype out the total price is $60 a year. At that price the customer receives unlimited SkypeIn and SkypeOut plus credit for time for international calls. That is a great price for the services that are delivered. The only hitch is there is no 9-11 service (at least as of yet). Either way, if you have a cell phone then you probably already have the emergency service right with you.
